Overview

In C30’s infinite wisdom, he has developed a self maintaining police force he uses to keep an eye on his subjects, identify haywired robots, and…. relocate them. All of these enemies are referred to as ‘drones’, not because of their shape, but because unlike most robots, they do not contain a ‘cerebral sentience processer’ within their main computational units, meaning that they are essentially mindless. It’s like the difference between C3PO and a battle droid.

Types of Drones

Impulse Drones

Base level scouting unit

Known to the public as ‘broadcasting units’, impulse drones are C30’s eyes and ears around Cog Springs. These fucker guys are everywhere, and are mainly used to detect citizens acting out of line. Though they do not possess heavy artillery, they have the ability to briefly reroute all power to their front-most power supply, creating a small burst of kinetic energy.

Armored Drones

The muscle

Sometimes, a tough job requires a bigger drone. There’s two options for what these could look like:

  1. Impulse drones with armored plating. It would be cool if (since armored drones don’t get introduced until later in the game), C30 didn’t create the armored drones until after S04R started becoming an issue. These drones would be the base model for the impulse drones, except with cobbled together football-like armor, protecting their power supplies from S04R’s abilities.
  2. Warehouse drones. Maybe these guys were originally made to move heavy boxes around the big ship, and that’s why they have heavy plating. So these are like forklift robots? I guess?

Linking Guys

Little Guys

Linking guys were originally intended to get into small areas and fix things
